The right size is the difference between a brace that stays put and one you keep pulling up. The Magic Knee Brace comes in four sizes, and the dial lets you fine-tune the fit once it is on. This guide takes about two minutes.
Step 1: Start with your body weight
| Size | Body weight | Above knee | Below knee |
|---|---|---|---|
| M | 99–143 lbs | 11.8–15.7 in | 9.8–11.8 in |
| L | 143–187 lbs | 12.6–18.9 in | 11.0–15.0 in |
| XL | 187–231 lbs | 14.2–22.0 in | 12.6–17.7 in |
| XXL | 231–275 lbs | 16.5–25.2 in | 14.6–20.1 in |
Step 2: Check with two measurements
Use a soft tape measure while standing with your leg straight.
- Above the knee: measure around your thigh just above the top of the kneecap.
- Below the knee: measure around your calf just below the bottom of the kneecap.
If both numbers fall inside the range for the size your weight points to, you are set. If they point to a bigger size, go with the measurements.
Step 3: Between sizes? Go larger
The dial can always make a brace tighter, but it cannot make a small brace bigger. If you sit between two sizes, choose the larger one and tighten it with the dial.
Step 4: Pick the right side
Each brace is made for one knee. Choose the knee you will wear it on: the dial sits on the outer side of that knee. Need support on both knees? Order one Left and one Right.
How it should feel
- Snug and even all the way around, with no bunching behind the knee.
- The top edge stays in place when you walk, squat or climb stairs.
- It should never feel painful. If you feel numbness, tingling or your skin changes color, loosen the dial right away.
Still not sure?
